Here we are three weeks into the new year and I am just now at the point to make my new years post. This year did not start off how I thought it would. On January 1st we lost a member of my Husbands fire department family and a very close friend. We have been dealing with heart ache and sickness, stress and frustration.
Do you ever have those times in life when you have so much you want to accomplish, goals you want to set, but it just seems like everything else gets in the way? That's when we hit our knees ask God to lead us. We should always ask God to lead every aspect of our lives but we all have to admit that there are times when we try to do it by ourselves, whether we realize we are doing that or not.
I have come to realize that God has control of me, not my emotions. That is something that is very hard for a lot of women to realize and overcome. I still struggle with this but I have faith that it will become less and less of a struggle for me and you as well.
This weekend I will be working on finalizing my goals for the year and will make post them as soon as I get a chance.
Many Blessings,
Naomi

Trials
Do you ever get in a place where you think you just cant do it? Everyone seems to be sick, laundry is piled high, you are frustrated and stressed.
I have been in that place the last week, and you know what I have discovered? I haven't asked God for help. I haven't asked Him to take over. I have tried to handle it all on my own. And now I see why I am frustrated and down.
Lord forgive me for not coming to you from the very beginning. Forgive me for trying to handle even the smallest part of my life on my own. Lord I lay it all at your feet. Lord please lead me and guide me. I have complete faith that you will lead me down the path that you want for me. Lord forgive me for not handling stress the way you have shown me to. Thank you Jesus for forgiving and saving me. You are an awesome God. In Jesus name, Amen.
Many blessing,
Naomi

Reading List 2014
Greetings ladies! I hope you are having a blessed year so far.
I am sorry it took so long for me to get my reading list together for this year. In years past I have just read what I felt like. I never took a lot of time to pray about what God wanted me to read. I was going down a path that was NOT what God had for me. I read a lot of romance that was not glorifying to God. I have asked God for forgiveness for putting smut into my mind and not things that were glorifying to Him. This year, through Gods leading, I am reading only things that are glorifying to Him. I love romance but I have finally come to the understanding that secular romance is not pleasing to God, no matter how much I tried to make it seem right.
Here is my list so far. There may be more added throughout the year.
